If you look through my gallery at some of my other pictures, you can tell how much better that I've gotten at coloring with Gimp. :)
I'm not QUITE as good as I'd like to be, but I'm pretty sure that I'll get there with a little practice.
Of course it doesn't hurt that practice is fun, ESPECIALLY when I get to practice coloring such pretty lineart! :boogie: :dance:

Honestly, I think I would have been lost without color refs. ^^;

Yep, I created the background by using one of Gimp's renders, and then I edited it a bit. P: I'm quite proud of how much better I've gotten at coloring digitally.

Yep, since there's no transparency information in this drawing, there's nothing for dA to turn into a black box. :giggle:

I'm so happy that you like it, and I'm happy that you've noticed my improvements.

I look forward to bettering my digital coloring skills. :) Right now I'm doing good, but I know that I can do better.
I'll be practicing my ass off with Gimp.

I think Gimp is somewhat similar to photoshop.. but I'm not quite sure since I've only used Pixia and Gimp to color my pictures. Oh yeah.... and MSPaint as well. :D P:
I do know that there's a Gimp plugin that makes Gimp work more like photoshop, but I haven't used it.

I am not very good in gimp, myself. I did notice you colored the inks instead of leaving them black, which I always find is a nice touch. :aww:

I have Photoshop 7, and it's pretty easy to use. :) Although, I've never used Gimp or any of those other programs (except MsP, of course XP).
